Bandipur Tiger & Elephant Safari

The Bandipur Tiger & Elephant Safari is one of the most rewarding wildlife experiences in South India, offering excellent chances of sighting tigers and elephants. Bandipur National Park is a beautiful and well-preserved sanctuary, rich in diverse flora and fauna. In addition to tigers, Bandipur is home to leopards, sloth bears, wild dogs, elephants, gaurs, barking deer, and several rare bird species, including vultures. Both van safaris and jeep safaris are available for visitors. Safari tickets cannot be booked in advance or online. Entry is strictly based on a queue system and follows a first-come, first-served process at the Bandipur Safari Office.

Mudumalai Tiger Safari

The Mudumalai Tiger Safari offers a thrilling chance to explore one of South India’s most vibrant and biodiverse tiger reserves. Visitors can journey through dense forests, open grasslands, and rich wildlife habitats where tigers, elephants, gaur, deer, and numerous bird species roam freely.
The safari begins at the Mudumalai Safari Office in Theppakadu, where guests board designated safari vehicles operated by the forest department. As you travel deeper into the reserve, trained guides provide insights into the ecosystem, animal behavior, and conservation efforts. While tiger sightings depend on luck and timing, the safari itself is an unforgettable experience filled with natural beauty and wildlife encounters.

Mudumalai Elephant Feeding Camp

The Elephant Feeding Camp, located near the Mudumalai Safari Junction, offers a delightful experience for both adults and children. Visitors can watch the forest department’s elephants being fed and cared for, providing a unique insight into their daily routine and the bond they share with their mahouts.

The entrance fee is just ₹50, making it an affordable and enriching activity for families. During the feeding session, guests can observe how the elephants are given their specially prepared food, learn about their behavior, and hear interesting facts about elephant conservation in the region.

The camp is especially popular in the mornings, so arriving a little early ensures a better view and a more enjoyable experience. It’s a perfect add-on to your visit when exploring Mudumalai.

Our campfire sessions begin after sunset, allowing guests to relax, share stories, and enjoy the serene wilderness setting. Whether you’re with family, friends, or a corporate group, the campfire brings everyone together in a cozy and joyful environment.

Nature Walk

This is a chargeable activity priced at ₹600 per person, and it is subject to weather conditions and the availability of a guide.

The Nature Walk is a calm and refreshing trail that helps kids explore the beauty of nature at their own pace. The walk takes place around the campus and along the stream, offering chances to observe wildlife up close and understand how different species coexist. Kids are encouraged to use all their senses, listening, watching, and observing, with guidance from trained experts who help them notice details they might otherwise miss. This activity builds curiosity, observation skills, and a natural appreciation for the environment.

Pykara Lake/Boat House

Pykara Lake is one of the most scenic attractions near Ooty, known for its calm waters and picturesque surroundings. Visitors can enjoy boating at the Pykara Boat House, where options like speedboats and motorboats offer a fun and refreshing experience.

Needle Rock View Point offers one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in the region. The viewpoint gets its name from its unique cone-shaped rock formation that resembles a needle.

From the top, visitors can enjoy sweeping views of mountains, forests, and distant valleys— especially stunning during sunrise and sunset. The short trek to the viewpoint is easy and rewarding, making it a popular attraction for nature lovers, photographers, and adventure seekers. The cool breeze and serene surroundings create a memorable outdoor experience.

  • Respect the local flora & fauna.
  • Switch off fans, lights & taps when not in use.
  • Wear colors like olive green & khaki to blend with nature.
  • Drive slowly inside the National Park Biosphere.
  • Ask for board games/shuttle rackets.
  • Have patience — wildlife sightings depend on luck.

Don’ts

  • No loud noise or music.
  • Do not feed wild animals.
  • Walking inside the forest is a punishable and non-bailable offense.
  • Avoid any form of pollution within the premises.
  • Do not venture on foot after dusk (6 PM).
  • No use of spotlights, shouting, teasing, or blowing horns.
  • Do not leave plastic waste like wrappers, bottles, or packets.
